How To Handle a Second Lockdown?

As we're moving into Winter a second wave of cases as we have predicted is here! You're not alone if you feel afraid or annoyed in these times, some people are going through stages of loneliness. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

How to deal with anxiety
I'm no psychiatrist but I would trust a person who has gone through and experienced anxiety more than reading textbook. Although, speaking up to a professional is important, most of us do not go for this option as it seems daunting ... also maybe you don't afford that luxury right now.
Speaking to your friends though... this is free and you know what they might be going through the same thing as you but were too afraid to speak up. If this is not an option for you, start a journal... trust me on this one it helped me a lot.

Starting a new goal might steer your mind off things for a small portion of your day.
Most people are starting new fitness goals, or eating healthier. These are great ones to start off with, after 28 days it will slowly become part of your new life. If this does not interest you, start organising your room this is really therapeutic for me. I LOVE ORGANISING, I'll put on some music or a show I've watched already (one you've watched already because You might just get stressed for not paying attention, or you'll end up watching a whole new series if its not one you can keep on in the background like Friends for example)
Take Precaution
I know this might sound obvious, but wearing a mask everywhere especially around older people is very important. Symptoms might not be so bad for youths but if we spread it to the older generation, this can be detrimental to them and their families.
Start an online weekly meeting with friends and family

Here in Dubai, unfortunately video calls via facetime, messenger and whatsapp calls are illegal here. So we usually try a VPN to try talk to our families back home. They do not often work unless you have to subscribe to a package and pay a monthly/yearly package.
If you are in the rest of the world, please make use of this media, it can help so much to just talk about silly stuff and update and just interacting with the people you care about.
